Dr. Fatemeh Hajivalie was born in Ahvaz, Iran, in 1978. She received her B.E degree in water-civil engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2002, MSc. degree from K.N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Tehran, Iran, in 2004 and PhD degree from (IUST), 2011. In 2011 she joined Iranian National Institute for Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences (INIOAS) as a faculty member. Since then she has worked sediment transport modeling, wave-structure interaction and scour modeling projects as researcher and project manager.Moreover she is teaching in IUST as an invited lecturer since 2012 and advised more than ten MSc. students in their thesis. She is an associate member of IAHR since 2009.
