Dr. Luis Arturo Bello Perez studied the career of Biochemical Engineer in Food at the Technological Institute of Acapulco in the period 1979-1983. He completed his master's degree in Sciences in Bioengineering at CINVESTAV-IPN, Zacatenco from 1983-1986. He carried out his doctoral studies in the CINVESTAV-IPN, Irapuato, in Biotechnology of Plants of 1991-1995. In 1986, he became Head of the Department of Microbiological Control at the State Public Health Laboratory in Acapulco, Guerrero. In 1987, he was a full-time professor at the Acapulco Institute of Technology and since 1999 as a full-time professor / researcher At CEPROBI-IPN, in Yautepec, Morelos. He has published 290 articles with editorial committee and international impact, 20 articles in magazines of national extension, as well as 12 chapters of books in international publishers and 3 Patents. He is a member of the Editoral Board of International journals: Plant Foods for Human Nutrition, Journal of Food and Starch / Starke, as well as arbitrator of 45 international journals. He has participated in courses and conferences in various Latin American countries, as well as in international projects at Iberoamerican and European level. He has participated in several awards committees, such as the National Award for Science and Arts in the area of Technology and Design, and was a member of the Evaluation Committee of the National System of Researchers in the area VI (Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences), is National Researcher Level III SNI and regular member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
