Biography:

Dr. Mladen Brncic received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Food Engineering from University of Zagreb, Croatia in 2006 and 2002 respectively. He has been served about 20 years as Associate Professor in the Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology at University of Zagreb, Croatia. Presently, he is working on novel food and environmental processing technologies, mostly ultrasound applications for enhanced extraction, drying, homogenisation and emulsification of raw materials and foodstuffs. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, gave many invited plenary lectures in International meetings and conferences. Prof. Mladen Brncic is also deputy editor in-chief / executive editor in Croatian Journal of Food Technology, Biotechnology and Nutrition and associate editor in Journal of Biotechnology Letters, African Journal of Food Sciences and editorial board member of British Biotechnology Journal, Biosciences Biotechnology Researches Asia and Indian Journal of Fundamental and Applied Life Sciences. He is also member of ISEKI Food association (“Integrating Food Science and Engineering Knowledge into the Food Chain”) and especially active in “Food Waste Recovery” group. He is a member of international committee of Croatian Society of Food technologists, Biotechnologists and Nutritionists and member of management board of Croatian Society of Chemical Engineers
