Biography:

Dr. Paras Kumar Mishra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA. Dr. Mishra received his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, India in 2006. He did postdoctoral training in the Emory University and the University of Louisville, and became Assistant Professor in 2010 in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Louisville, USA. He moved to the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the year 2013 as Assistant Professor and promoted to Associate Professor in the year 2015. His research program is focused on developing therapeutic strategies for diabetic heart failure using microRNA, autophagy and stem cell approaches. He is a highly productive scientist. He has received several awards. His research program is supported by American heart Association and the National Institutes of Health grants.
