Biography: Dr. Sadia Samar Ali is an Associate Professor and Area Chair in the field of‘Operations and Supply Chain’ at New Delhi Institute of Management, New Delhi. An Alumnus of prestigious Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and recipient of University Gold MedalM.Sc. (Operations Research) and Faculty of Science PG Merit Scholarship, she holds a doctorate in Operation Research having rich academic experience. Dr. Ali specializes inresearch on purchase-incidence models; green supply chain management; and humanitarian research evaluation forsupply chain . She is both an academician and researcher contributing value towards working for bridging the gaps between academia and industry in the growth of nation’s young future managers by exposing them to operations and supply chain related real situation. Dr. Ali is a registered guide in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management and has been mentoring aspiring scholars to polish their research methods skill.  In addition to academic pursuits she takes keen interest in publications also.  Dr. Ali has published more than 60 papers listed in ISI, SCOPUS and SCIRUS which have appeared in leading European, American, Indian and South-Asian journals. She has presented papers at international and national conferences in the USA, Canada, Bangkok, Italy, Spain, Glassgow, Poland and India, and has organized and chaired technical sessions at international conferences in the USA, Italy, Spain, Glassgow, Poland and India.  She is also advisory board member, associate editor and guest editor and reviewer of world-renowned journals like JOSCM, IJRPM and IJOPM. She is an active member of several professional societies like APICS, POMS, SOM, ACLM and IIMM, and currently holds honorary positions in professional societies promoting the academic and industry interface. She is associated with EURO and IFORS groups as part of working team in promoting ' Sustainable and Optimization practices' and 'Humanitarian Supply Chain' practices of developing countries’.   She is founding Member of Group on Methodology of Societal Complexity (MSC) for Indian Chapter. She is the author of the books “Models of Consumer Buying Behavior” and “Future Trend of Supply Chain Practices in Cement Industry”. ,
