He is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Cancer Commons, also Associate Clinical Professor at Dartmouth Medical School and Adjunct Clinical Faculty at University of South Carolina.

Dr. Knopf obtained his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed residencies in internal medicine and radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and fellowships in medicine and health services and economics at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.Dr. Knopf specializes in the treatment of hematological malignancies, and cancers of the colon, rectum, lung, and prostate. He lectures internationally on challenges and advances in the treatment of cancer and investigates the efficacy and safety of new therapies for chronic lymphocytic leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer.

He is a reviewer for the Journal of Supportive Oncology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.He has published more than 40 Papers in reputed journals.
