Title: Radiation-Induced Angiosarcoma after Recurrent Epithelioid Sarcoma
Abstract: We add to the literature a case report of a 44-year-old man with a history of recurrent lower extremity epitheloid sarcoma that was treated with surgical resections and radiation, with subsequent development of angiosarcoma in the ipsilateral extremity. Radiation-induced sarcomas are rare but aggressive cancers that typically occur many years after irradiation and are associated with a very poor prognosis. Close follow up and surveillance are essential for early detection and prevention of the significant associated morbidity and mortality.,
