Biography:

Gladys Hole received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology from the Technical University of Mombasa in 2014 and currently a research associate on training at the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute- Mombasa, Kenya. A strong advocate in management and governance of aquatic systems (coastal marine and fresh water), human dimensions of environmental change social ecology systems, global environmental politics, trade and environment/Agriculture; agricultural biotechnology and implications for developing country. She involves herself in conducting field research activities, developing technologies for improvement of water related organisms, assisting in developing manuscripts for publication, participating in seminars and short courses in research practice etc. In addition, she is a member of the WIOMSA (Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association) and was recently honored to present an oral paper during the 9th WIOMSA symposium in South Africa and a short training on repositories, communication and outreach and oceanDocs.
